This exhibition brings together contemporary artworks by a diverse group of international artists. The work is connected by the artist's responses to faith, spirituality and the relationship of such belief systems to the experience of the human condition.
The works cover an expansive set of perspectives on this theme including painting, video and sculpture ranging from the intimately subtle to the brashly colorful. The selected works seek to encourage dialogue on our changing responses to accepted notions of faith.
In times as uncertain as these when we are all trying to navigate the spiritual and cultural issues of our time, Altered States creates an opportunity for discourse within the context of the individual and collective issues that we struggle with as a society and allows us to reflect on some of the fundamental difficulties and hopes of our age.
